Erick LeStrange

Born in Valencia in Spain in 1989, Erick William Lestrange currently lives and works in London and Valencia. His photo shootings usually happen in locations in these places.
First starting as a writer when he was seventeen, Lestrange suddenly had the chance to first do professional photography in Madrid for Cibeles fashion week with a cheap camera that his father, who also is a photographer, gave him. After he wrote an article about the event and photoshopped the pictures, his boss in the newspaper showed his work to Jose Luis Abad, owner of the Abad photography school in Valencia.
Jose Luis Abad gently offered Erick to study for free in his school having the opportunity to use the academy’s studio. Erick didn’t find this classes useful at all but used the ocasion to use the studio as much as he could to gain practice and improve his own photography.

After finishing the course, Erick Lestrange found himself travelling to London. Even that he didn’t have the idea of becoming a professional photographer still in mind, one day he went to the London College of Fashion with a friend who wanted to register for a course and found himself in a fashion photography course. This way he started to specialize in fashion which he found really rewarding. Even that he had already been involved in some projects like catalogues or modelling books he found the ocasion to build up his portfolio after the experience given in the London College of Fashion’s fashion photography course.

Paolo Roversi

Born in Ravenna in 1947, Paolo Roversi’s interest in photography was kindled as a teenager during a family vacation in Spain in 1964. Back home, he set up a darkroom in a convenient cellar with another keen amateur, the local postman Battista Minguzzi, and began developing and printing his own black & white work. The encounter with a local professional photographer Nevio Natali was very important: in Nevio’s studio Paolo spent many many hours realising an important apprenticeship as well as a strong durable friendship.
In 1970 he started collaborating with the Associated Press: on his first assignment, AP sent Paolo to cover Ezra Pound’s funeral in Venice. During the same year Paolo opened, with his friend Giancarlo Gramantieri his first portrait studio, located in Ravenna, via Cavour, 58, photographing local celebrities and their families. In 1971 he met by chance in Ravenna, Peter Knapp, the legendary Art Director of Elle magazine. At Knapp’s invitation, Paolo visited Paris in November 1973 and has never left.
