Helder Mendes, was born in Pacos de Ferreira on March 1, 1977 and the first contact with the painting began in late childhood and early adolescence, he had nearly 14 years.
Today 33, is an artist of new generation. It is a young man between painting, and material recovery builds his own art, using the raw wood and waste as the main factors, when combined with other materials, a technique called collage assemblage, the results are true works of art.
Besides painting, Helder Mendes is also dedicated to sculpture, using glass as the main object, wood and other materials. In his curriculum already included 11 Solo Exhibitions, one held in New Caixa Foundation in Vigo, a place that had many visits daily viewers, art critics, collectors, curators and art Merchant, and more than 150 Exhibitions held in Portugal andabroad.
